Britain’s cabinetmakers are renowned for their skill and craftsmanship, with examples dating back hundreds of years. Today's cabinet makers are no different.

British manufacturers are at their best when making shaker and traditional kitchens. So, if that’s the look you’re after, it’s worth exploring the British ranges we offer.  

Bear in mind too that the supply chain issues that have affected so many businesses trying to import into Britain, don’t affect our British suppliers so much. Therefore, you won’t face hold ups in customs and any after sales follow ups – such as touch-ups and additional inserts - will be relatively easy to arrange.

WHY MIGHT YOU BUY A BESPOKE BRITISH KITCHEN?

Buying bespoke puts you in the driving seat, so you can expect high levels of service throughout all phases of the project.

Cabinetry is custom-built to fit structural abnormalities or architectural elements, guaranteeing you make the most of all your available space.

If you’re a fan of more traditional freestanding kitchen furniture – the only choice until the 1930s – bespoke would be your best option.

WHAT STYLES OF BRITISH KITCHEN ARE AVAILABLE?

When it comes to selecting a British kitchen, there are more alternatives than you might think.

Although Georgian, Edwardian and Victorian homes are most suited to a traditional kitchen, shaker designs work really well, even in modern homes.

Our ready-made Masterclass range is ideal for Victorian or larger Georgian kitchens. Pictured here is the Ashbourne design which fits in beautifully with the architecture in the room.

 

Shaker Kitchens

Shaker kitchens are incredibly versatile, popular in period houses as well as in homes with a more modern aesthetic. We adore this Masterclass kitchen from the Hardwick range.

Solid Timber Kitchens

Solid wood kitchens, constructed from English woodland and crafted by experts, are the crème de la crème when it comes to high-end customisable spaces. Our Ridgeway Bespoke range can be hand painted in a variety of colours to give your home a charming country cottage feel.

Colourful British kitchens

Another thing we love about Masterclass is their range of colours. Even though colours might not immediately spring to mind when you think of a traditional British kitchen, they can give a striking accent to any area. More recently there has been a move towards dark inky hues, which provide interest and ambience to a room. If you want to play it safe, you can’t go wrong with a cream or sage green.
